Lovely Green Tranquility

...the affectionate name of the first (tree-filled) property I purchased in Wilmington, North Carolina.  What began as an endeavor to put down roots quickly became a fixer-upper passion project turned family-run short-term rental property. After years of renovations and upgrades to this sturdy 1970 split-level, I leapt into the unknown world of hosting guests and navigating a new business.

I absolutely adored the opportunity to create bright, welcoming, interesting spaces, reflective of my world travels and the desire to transport guests out of their ordinary surroundings.

Importantly, I aim for my business ventures to consider the environmental impact created. Throughout the restoration process of LGT, my team and I:

- restored sections of the original wood paneling

- refinished the solid pine floors

- repaired the damage from 40 year old wallpaper removal

- 90% of furniture was second-hand sourced, locally

- sustainable bamboo flooring was used in areas of damage repair

- no or low VOC paint was used throughout

- exclusive use of local contractors and other small businesses
